Nice to have still gotten that back, a lot of people have gotten nothing other than that rejection letter. 10 years ago is about accurate, that is the exact same photo, only much smaller (mine is 8x10) of one she sent me back in the summer of 2007.

Some people lucked out sending a smaller photo inside the book, and he's signed both. Maya Angelou was the same way. Tried sending her a photo, got a rejection letter, sent her book and a small photo and she inscribed both.

Whoever signs for him has changed their writing over the years. Some years ago, his mother June was responding to all of his fanmail, and that does not look like the writing from back then. Maybe he has a new assistant.
By the way, I do like the second photo of him.
