So thats not completely true about Yogi. For starters, YES he has done signings with Steiner Sports, but not "solely" with Steiner. Why would a guy who has his own museum and does autographs through the museum cut autograph ties to signe for just Steiner. I did just check out Yogi's site and I noticed that there isnt any info on prices and such if you wanted to send in your own item to get signed. Makes me wonder if his 88 years are catching up with him and now its just the stuff that they sell that is signed. Price aren't that much for him, considering what he means to baseball. I believe I seen 8x10 at $80. Its a great company to buy from. I'm a huge Yogi fan and have an entire room of just Yogi stuff. Signed jerseys, pants, hat, over a dozen photos, baseballs, bat.. you name it I got it. Also have all of his cards from when he played, along with old magazines. I've met him 3 times, but most of the stuff has gotten signed through the comapny. His boys know who I am when I cal. They gave me the nickname of farm boy, cause I live in Iowa. LOL.. If you really want a nice piece to add to your HOF collection, get a photo frmo there, so you know its legit...[/quote]

Try sending something through is website/personal address...you'll get back a letter saying to go through Steiner...he's not signing anymore TTM. According to reports from his family, he wants to quit signing due to his age and health.

Well I can understand that yogi wants to finally call it quits. He's had a heckuva life and I'm sure he wants to rest. I only wish I had tried before. Fortunately the baseball card companies have lots of signed stuff that can be found pretty cheaply on ebay. As for mr. Kiner, I've gotta give him ONE more try! It took me a ton to get j rice so you never know. The millionth time could be the charm! Lol.

VJW0307... You may be correct. He very well could be done signing TTM, I don't know. Its been about a year since I have sent anything to them to get signed. Really shocked though they are doing the signings through Steiners if they are backing him off from signing. I would think that Steiners would have him sign mass amounts of stuff at once, and at his museum it was a few here a few there, ya know what I mean? After seeing him at last years Old Timers Day I figured it was coming to an end for him signing. He looked really bad. He has had one heck of a life and has always been great to his fans. It will be a sad day when we lose him. I would still rather pay $80 for a signed 8x10 from his museum than $180-200 through Steiners though. There are just so many fakes on the web that its crazy. For example: I like to check stuff out on ebay and I came across a 1953 Topps Archive Willie Mays signed card. Yet the autograph on the front of the card looked just like the autograph on the back of the card. His current autograph hasnt chancged in 30 years. The card on ebay was clearly a fake by someone who just copied what was on the back of the card. Sad that it has come to this for our hobby...

Oh yea, there are tons of fakes on ebay...probably more fakes than legit...its sad. Thats why I typically only buy PSA or JSA items...not that they are 100% accurate, but makes me feel a bit better about higher end items. I think the reason they are going with Steiner is actually a couple of reasons. I'm sure since Steiner is charging ridiculous prices, the family is getting to pocket more money. From what I hear, his family is as money hungry as Stan Musial's was...trying to get anything and everything signed before he passes. Plus, w/ Steiner, they manage opening all the mail, organizing items, picking the pens, mailing items back...Yogi just has to sign his name and they do the grunt work so I'm sure this is a lot easier on him.

If you need a '53 Archives signed Mays or Berra to use as a reference, here are mine :)

That '53 Archives set is one of my favorites and I'm only about 9 away from completing it.

The '53 archive set is a great set. If I only had the money I would do the real 1953 set, lol. As of now I am up to 212 signed cards in the set. I just spent the last couple days working on a spread sheet of the set and there are only 69 living players from that set. I agree with ya about the PSA issue for the most part. I have busted PSA as being wrong before though. When they started doing the 8x10 photos, I sent a Ted Williams photo in to them and they sent it back after a couple weeks telling me that it is an obvious fake. I was on the phone with them a few minutes later chewing some a$$. I had it signed in person, and even had a photo of ne and Ted, with the photo right there with us. They then started dancing around everything, told me to send it in again free of charge and they would let someone else check it, that the person that did it before must have seen something that he felt was wrong. I know another guy who owns his own shop here, he sent in a Koufax ball that he got signed at spring training one year, and they told him it wasnt real, yet he showed me photos of him with Sandy as the ball was being signed. PSA is nice because they are usually dead on.. USSUALLY, lol

Regarding the address you used for Jim Rice, I know you don't remember which address actually worked. When the letter came back, what city/state was stamped on the envelop from the post office it was routed from?

Congrats on the signature. I've sent to him but have been hesitant to continue trying without knowing which address would work best.
