You should be aware that there is always a chance of getting a preprint or a secretary autograph in this hobby. Also, if you had previously checked feedback on Sir Elton you would have read that his management office sends those preprints
Finally, he nor any other celebrity owes you nothing, so you are not in position of insulting anyone.

No one wrote in an e-mail that they would send a copy, so I hoped there would be a signature .
Hi Roberts,
Thank you for your email to Elton.
I would be more than happy to send you a signed photo.
Please let me know what address to mail it to and I will ask for it be posted soon.
Thank you for your interest, and for your passion for Elton and his music!
Sincerely,

This is clearly not the right hobby for you, if you had done your reaserch here or on any other forum you would have known that Elton John only sends out pre-prints from his Agency. Why don't you try and collect stamps or coins instead so there won't be any confusion or disappointment

I also collect coins
Then don't give autograph collectors a bad reputation by sending rude and unnecessary messages.

I'm sorry but how rude! It said a signed Picture, and you got a signed picture. It wasn't an original but the email didn't say that.
Tip: check feedback before sending out emails. Actually write to them and send a self addressed enverlop and postage back. And if you get anything back, no matter if is a pre-print, Seki Terry secutary or an official you could at least email back saying "I got the autograph today, thank you for sending one"
