Anna Nicole Smith and the diet pill company she endorses were named in a suit filed in Los Angeles, alleging false and misleading marketing.

In addition to unspecified damages, the three plaintiffs in the class-action suit seek an injunction that would prevent Smith and TrimSpa from claiming that TrimSpa's product "causes rapid and substantial weight loss," Eonline said.

In the lawsuit filed Feb. 1, Janet Luna, Myra Luna and Yvonne Rodarte accused Smith and TrimSpa Inc. of using deceptive business practices to sell the weight-loss supplement, and of violating California's unfair competition law.

The women claim they were injured, although the suit did not outline the nature of the alleged injuries.

"The defendants have created an elaborate scheme to cheat consumers" with their false and misleading advertising, the complaint states.

RIP Anna

It's annoying how the vultures are already out on this. It's even more annoying to hear some people who don't even know her with the "who cares?" attitude.

Yeah, she made mistakes in her life and she wasn't perfect, but who is? I believe she had a good heart and she loved her son. I hope she's finally at peace now.

very nicely said. its ashame, because now her daughter will have to grow up without a mother. Anna Nicole Smith seemed to have loved both of her children very much.

It's so sad...she'd had a very rough 2006, with all of the lawsuits, the controversy over her baby, and her son dying. And she was only 39 years old...that's way too young. I hope it wasn't a suicide or an overdose. She had to have been so stressed out. I think I heard that it was a cardiac (heart) problem...

As much as it is sad, I think it's all been taken out of context. The media has never gone crazy over a death like this. James Brown or Steve Irwin's deaths never got this much attention :|

yea youa re right but maybee its beacause it was so unexpected ! James Brown was in a hospital for a little bit of time before he died so , it was kinda of a little expected and Steve Irwin well , maybee they did not talk so much about him beacause he wasnt in a big controversy like anna nicole was !

R.I.P :(

I agree with TheMailman.
Steve and James did much more remarkable things than Anna.
What did she do? Show off her body?
Be drunk?
I'm sorry to all of her fans but She's not a positive role model in my opinon.
I agree though, I do feel bad for her and her family and baby. 2006 was rough for her.
I give 100% best wishes to the baby, Dannilynn. She'll never have a mom.
My mom is the most important person in my life.
Version: Robert Pattinson.
