Re: Personalized or Not?
I have both personalized and non-personalized. Frankly, I prefer them "To Me" I used to keep some in my office and got numerous comments from clients. Generally I took in person autographs to work, they often have more interesting stories to waste time that I could / should be earning the big bucks and frankly I'd rather be talking about me collection than going over numbers all day long.
I have been asked many times about trading / selling some of my autographs. I am sorry but my collection is not and will not be for sale.
Re: Personalized or Not?
Personalised. I agree with the person who said they're always slightly dissapointed when an autograph comes back as just a signature. It is better than a PP, but I just feel like if it's just a signature, the celebrity in question didn't read my letter..just signed my photo and shoved it back in the envelope.
Re: Personalized or Not?
I think alot of celebs personlize them because they don't want it to get sold on ebay or whatever. But, I personally think that If its personalized, it just makes that particular autograph so much more special. Especially if its a fave actor/actress or muscian. I have a Hanson autograph personalized and I love it! They are my fave band so the fact that I've got a personalized, autographed by Isaac, Taylor AND Zac middle of nowhere cd insert, its just amazing.

Plus if its personalised you think the celeb hadnt had pre signed autograph pictures ready if they received any requests. You realise that if its personalised, they have read your letter and signed it on the spot then. If they are pre signed they are sent off to anyone effectively and i dont see the point.
Re: Personalized or Not?
Definitely personalized:). I *think* the only autograph I received back not personalized was Georgie Henley(I didn't really care, I tore open the envelope-this was in 2006 and there was the autograph and I was so happy with it).

Re: Personalized or Not?
I like it when it isnt personalised for people like in eastenders or not that famous people, but if it is someone big, i dont want it personalised!
Re: Personalized or Not?
If its for me then definately personalised though sometimes I try and get a non personalised one as well - the dedicated ones though tend to mean a lot more to me. The only ones I am unlikely to get personalised are signed jerseys etc
Re: Personalized or Not?
I prefer mine personalized.. as then it shows they read your letter ect..
