Increase in Stamps - Decrease SASE return?

Unread post by 2beHappy »

Hello Everyone,

If this issue has already been addressed, I apologize.

I mailed about 30 autograph requests with SASEs in mid December to link my request letters with a holiday theme but I didn't realize that the price of stamps were going to increase. All my SASE envelopes had $.60cents on them and now it's $.63.

Question: What's the chances of the studios adding $.03 cents to my SASE? Or the post office delivering my SASE with a request to pay the remaining few cents?

What do you think? What happened to others when they raised the prices of stamps in the past?

Hey there!!

Usually celebrities will benice enough to add an extra $0.03 to your SASE!! I wouldn't worry too much about it!! If you wrote to a venue or company, i would still think whoever manages the mail for them would add an extra 3 cents!! I've seen many people on the board get extra stamps put on their envelopes!!

Hello Chrissy,

Thank you for replying and sharing your thoughts on the matter. I'm glad you think there is hope that people will add a few more cents to my SASEs.

Have a wonderful day,

I agree with Chrissy, most people have been nice enough to add the extra postage in my experience.
