Re: Comic Book Collectors
I have a question for everyone. yesterday, I googled Erik Larsen. When I did, a link to www.savagedragon.com came up and it claimed to be the OFFICIAL ERIK LARSEN SITE. It even had a contact page. So, I thought, what the hey, let's see. So, I sent an email asking what would be the best address to send him a savage dragon comic. He replied and gave an address to "the comic store frequent often." Is this legit, or would it be safer to send to him through Image comics? Here is the address:

Stan Goldberg, veteran Marvel colorist and Archie Comics artist, passed away Sunday as the result of a stroke he suffered two weeks ago. He was 82.
I will NOT PM you an address.

Re: Comic Book Collectors
Fred Hembeck (born January 30, 1953) is an American cartoonist best known for his parodies of characters from major American comic book publishers. His work has frequently been published by the firms whose characters he spoofs. His characters are always drawn with curlicues at the elbows and knees. He often portrays himself as a character in his own work, in the role of "interviewer" of various comic book characters. Interviewer Daniel Best has said of his work, "If you take your comic books seriously, and think that those characters are real then you're probably not a fan of Hembeck."

Thanks for sharing legendwithoutaname! I'll probably be picking one of those up! I'm jealous of your Superman \S/
In the last few weeks I've gotten a few succeses I've been meaning to share. I got a pretty sweet sketch of Batman from Walt Flanagan, who worked with Kevin Smith on Batman: The widening gyre. I was able to reach him through Jay and Silent Bobs secret stash

Oh, that Batman is fab! I ordered one of the Batman graphic novels he and Kevin Smith worked on together through Secret Stash and it's supposed to include a sketch. Been waiting for a bit but it says can take 6-8 weeks.

Re: Comic Book Collectors
No new successes to report unfortunately, but I have a question for the community. I'll be attending the Long Beach Comic Con in 2 weeks and Dave Johnson will be there, and Dave did the artwork that appears on the back of the Superman:Grounded tpb that I own. Do you guys think it would be weird to ask him to sign the back?
