Re: Comic Book Collectors
Has anyone had any success with David Michelinie recently? The last address I saw for him was:
David Michelinie
PO Box 508
Hockessin DE 19707
I could also use your opinions. I've been collecting comic autographs for a while now but the one that means the most to me is the first comic I ever bought, Amazing Spiderman 347. I remember getting it off a spinner rack at the grocery store when I was about 9, and have loved comics ever since.
Anyways, several years ago I had Erik Larsen (artist) sign it through the mail. Then I met Randy Emberlin (inker) at Emerald City two years ago and got his sig on it. I even got Stan Lee to sign it last year at Emerald City. Danny Fingeroth (editor) regularly appears at Wizard World events, so I will get him eventually. That leaves Bob Sharen (colorist) who I believe does stained glass windows now, and David Michelinie (writer). Even if I know the address is good for David, I am terrified of sending this in the mail. What do you think? I thought about writing him a letter first asking him if it was ok if I sent it to him, since it means so much to me.

I think getting JRJR ttm is going to be kinda tricky now. I've heard of people getting succeses from him through Marvel years ago, but he no longer works there. He's currently doing Superman for DC and they are generally good about forwarding mail to artists, but they just moved their offices from New York to Burbank, CA a few months ago. I think trying the new DC office in Burbank would be your best bet but its still pretty riskyTheCoolOne wrote:Has anybody recently received a success from John Romita Jr?

Well I'm not sure how hard it will be to get him but its an untested address at this point. I wouldn't recommend sending him anything you'd be sad to lose, but I think its worth a tryTheCoolOne wrote:Does that also mean that Jim Lee with be hard to get a success from?
