Question about international shipping from USA to Germany!
Hello,
I have a question:
What is the best way to stamped my response envelope to America?
I'm from Germany and I would like to contact Will Smith via Venue.
My lasts letters i have put in two IRC's, but I have heard that USA stamps are better. Or shoud I have to print online a shipping label at: https://sss-web.usps.com/cns/landing.do
Is that good and also for germans?
My Letter:
Size: DIN C4
Thanks in advance for your kindness
Denis

Hi Denis!
When I make SASEs with US stamps, I use 0.84$. My envelopes are smaller though (about 13 x 23, C5) and 0.84$ is working up to 1 ounce which is 28.35 gram.
If it's heavier than 28.35g it costs 1.70$ which is up to 2 ounces (about 60g) and I think this is the amount you should use for your, a bit larger, envelope!
But of course, if your SASE with picture will weigh 28.35g or less you should only use 0.84$
Hope this helped! =)

Hello Volante,
thank you for your fast reply and help!
My envelope with the response envelope and the picture have a weight of approx. 500 gramm (I think, because I have no chance to weight it)!
How much stamps I need? Can it have insured enveloped?
Or should I buy some international reply coupons?
Thanks
Denis

That sounds very heavy... Is it really that way?
And also, you shouldn't put US stamps on your envelope to Will Smith, you need German stamps there (if you're sending from Germany to US).
It's your included reply envelope, the SASE, which should have US stamps. I can't imagine that a C4 envelope + a picture could weigh 500g.
However, if your SASE + picture weigh 500g, it's about 18 ounces which is 10.40$.
This is why I wonder if your return package will weigh 500g:
One time I sent a C5 envelope including C4 envelope (same size as yours I believe) and an A4 sized picture... this all only weight 50g or less!
Therefore I'm pretty sure 2 or 3 ounces postage will be enough, 1.70$ or 2.55$

Now I have weight it:
The envelope weight 127 gramm! How much does that cost?
And yes I mean the US Stamps for the envelope to Will Smith
