What is a SASE

recently I have sent a mail to green day and people kept saying they used a SASE and they got an autograph back what I did was wrote a letter put a couple of pics in it and just sent it was that the wrong thing to do? :oops:

An SASE is a self addressed stamped envelope. Hav ppl had success from green day??
