if I send an 8x11 1/2 envelop with a picture and another envelop from New York to California, how many stamps would you think I would have to put on the envelop? thanks.

Hi 2-the-moon-and-back,

If you check out the International Postage Prices thread, you'll see that large envelopes within the US and under 1 oz, can be sent for $0.88 or those under 2 oz can be sent for $1.05. To be honest, I'd probably put $1.05 in postage on your envelope (or even $1.22) just to be sure. If you are sending a SASE for the celebrity to reply with, $.88 should be find as one photograph in an envelope is not very heavy but you can check at your local post to be certain.

That what I do sometime when I'm not sure if I'll need an extra stamp for my envelope!

Also, if would help if you could give your topic a subject that tells us what your question is about, please. That way, people are more likely to be able to help answer your question if we know what it's about. Eg. 'Question about postage within the US' or 'how much postage should I put on my envelope?' So we know what your question is about.
